New Youth Event to be held the morning of Porritt Classic 10th February 2024
This year we will be having a school’s event for the 13+ aged athletes, targeting high school age athletes – you do not need to be a registered athlete with a club to compete. Competitors must be aged 13 to 18 on 31 December 2024. This will be held prior to the Porritt Classic event from 11am till 1pm. With the Porritt Classic event starting at 2pm.
This Youth Pre Meet is run under Athletics NZ Rules.
Events
* 11.00am 200m hurdles + High Jump / Discus
* 11. 30am 100m
* 12.00 noon 800m + Long Jump / Shot put
* 12.30pm 200m
Entry Fee of $20.00 must be paid online when entering with either a credit card or visa/master debit card. The $20 entry fee covers all events you choose to participate in plus refreshments.
There are spot prizes and $1,000 of Asics vouchers for best performances by Under 18s on the day allocated for this pre meet and Porritt Classic.
Additionally, there will be featured school events during the Porritt Classic event which require a separate entry (see website for information and link for these events).
