Cancellation of Children's Ribbon Days and Waikato Bay of Plenty Children's Championship
UPDATE ON CHILDREN’S EVENTS:
Thank you all for your patience…certainly challenging and unpredictable times. At the recent Children’s Committee meeting the majority voted to cancel all Ribbon Days and the Waikato Bay of Plenty Children’s Championships for this season. It was certainly a hard decision to make, however, the extra requirements and numbers of participants at these events make it challenging.
Watch for Updates – there will be several modified events hosted – keep a watch on the Facebook page and club email accounts for updates! There will also be a Virtual Children’s Champs for the 7-9 year old’s … watch this space.
The Athletics Waikato Bay of Plenty Board and Centre would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to our members and volunteers for your time, dedication and love for our sport. Without you, we wouldn’t be here…people are our most important asset. Please take a moment to thank all of the wonderful support your club and events provide … you may be surprised how many hours they dedicate to the love of athletics.
