Athletics NZ Awards
A very big congratulations to three of our Athletics Waikato Bay of Plenty people that were awarded Athletics NZ Merit Awards at the Athletics NZ AGM on Saturday :

Murray Green
Tony Rogers
For these three to have been awarded a Merit Award they needed to have demonstrated a sustained and substantial contribution to the sport as an official and/or administrator and/or coach at regional and national level and still be currently involved in the Athletics.
Congratulations also to the following Athletics WBOP people on receiving Athletics NZ Long Service Awards :
Des Johnston
Kevin Sharpe
Tony Rogers
John Charlton
For them to have gained an Athletics NZ Long Service Award, they needed to have given significant service to the sport at either club, regional or national level, or a combination of them, for over 20 years
