About Performance Development Camps

The Athletics New Zealand Performance Development Camps connect emerging athletes, coaches and High-Performance staff for two days of coaching, education, performance testing and development planning.

Designed to strengthen athletes’ Daily Training Environments, these camps provide practical insights, individual feedback and clear development priorities that support long-term performance progression.

Whether you’re an athlete striving to perform at the next level or a coach looking to enhance your knowledge and impact, these camps offer valuable learning experiences and opportunities to connect with Athletics New Zealand’s wider performance network.

These camps are for:

  • Emerging athletes 15–20 years of age, making at least a final at the national level who are committed to improving their performance and have aspirations for future Olympics/Paralympics

  • Coaches working with Pre-HP athletes and wanting to further develop their technical knowledge and understanding of athlete development
